” The Girl-Centred Approach to Climate Change and Disaster Workshop Series hosted by Flames and Lilies Climate Initiative and Girl-Up last year was a transformative experience that empowered me as a young girl to take action against climate change. Through interactive sessions and group discussions, I gained a deeper understanding of the disproportionate impact of climate change on adolescent girls and young women. I was inspired by the passion and creativity of our mentors who presented innovative solutions to address climate-related challenges. Overall, the workshop series was a powerful reminder of the critical role that girls and young women play in building a more sustainable and climate-resilient future in Africa. “
